Restoring Your Faith in Data-Driven Decisions
In our recent webcast, “The Real Cost of Bad Data: Six Simple Steps to Data Quality”, David Menninger of Ventana Research speaks about why data quality matters and provides recommendations to regain confidence in what that data shows.
Ventana Research confirms that data quality issues are pervasive within businesses that utilize technology. They deduce this by surveying thousands of organizations on analytical data, Internet of Things (IoT) data, and big data. Looking at the graph below, they found that almost half (48 percent) of respondents said that “Reviewing data for quality and consistency issues” was a task that they spent the most time doing before analysis. Additionally, 43 percent the organizations surveyed cited that accuracy was a major reason for lack of satisfaction with their data.
If you are dissatisfied with your data or spending too much time with manual cleansing processes, there are steps that you can take that will ensure your data is always trusted, timely, and complete. I recommend that you view our webcast with David Menninger, “The Real Cost of Bad Data Six Simple Steps to Data Quality”, for helpful hints, and attend one of our spring executive luncheons that highlight strategies and solutions for restoring trust through improved data management. Attendance is free, but seating is limited. Look for the seminar nearest you and register to restore faith in your data.
