In business, the phrase ‘the whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ certainly applies. And of course, your organization is likely made up of many parts or domains – customers, facilities, vendors, products, etc. To keep your business running successfully, it’s critical to have a clear picture of each domain – and its associated data – as well as how all of them operate in tandem.

This is where multi-domain master data management (MDM) comes into play. With multi-domain MDM, organizations can create master records (also known as “golden records") for each business domain they need to understand. Then all the business data they need is available, integrated, and organized, which makes their business processes better and helps enable better operational decision-making. It also ensures that analytics are more consistent and complete, enabling better strategic decision-making as well.

Watch this “Ask the Experts” video as I explain what multi-domain MDM is and why it is of value to your organization.
