The Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools is now published. (Get it for free.)

Gartner analysts Mark Beyer, Eric Thoo, Ehtisham Zaidi, and Rick Greenwald estimate that the data integration tool market was worth approximately $2.8 billion at the end of 2015 – an increase of 10.5% from 2014. They note that this growth rate is above-average for the enterprise software market as a whole, as data integration capabilities continue to be considered of critical importance for addressing the diversity of problems and emerging requirements.

They also state that the biggest changes in the market from 2015 are the increased demand for data virtualization, the growing use of data integration tools to combine data lakes with existing integration solutions, and the overall expectation that data integration will become cloud- and on-premises-agnostic.

Gartner evaluated 14 vendors: They view certain capabilities as most critical from within the overall range of capabilities expected of data integration tools, and many vendors don't meet Gartner's criteria and are therefore not included. However, we're happy to say that once again we are a Visionary in this year’s magic quadrant.

Information Builders works hard to develop integration software that changes with the needs of our prospects and customers. We take advantage of new technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and their ecosystems. We focus on all of your organization’s data: data at rest as well as data in motion. And we meet your expectations for data cleansing and data mastering.

Gartner hails us for “integrating the integration” with the right tools for data stewards and IT alike. They know that big data is sometimes, but not always, a need. But when you do need big data, it's just part of the Information Builders stack, with dedicated functionality for the Hadoop and Spark ecosystems – including embedded data cleansing and predictive analytics! Lastly -- and this is one of the most important aspects for me, personally -- Gartner says that “customers report a feeling of ‘partnership’”.

Our solutions include master data managment (MDM) and data quality in integration. For more information, please view our iWay Big Data Integrator video and read about our Omni-Gen platform, where you can generate applications that combine data integration, data quality and master data management.

And of course, get The Gartner 2016 Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools with our compliments. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
